What is it?

The MCS-150 is the update of your USDOT information: mileage, trucks, drivers, and operation type. It's required every 24 months even if nothing changed.

What happens if it's not up to date?

  • If you don't update it every 24 months, FMCSA deactivates your USDOT.
  • Fines for each day it's late.
  • With an inactive USDOT you can't operate, and your MC and UCR are at risk.

Frequently asked questions

When is mine due?

It depends on the last two digits of your USDOT: the last one sets the month and the next-to-last whether it's an even or odd year. Our free report tells you your exact date.

Is there a government fee?

No. FMCSA doesn't charge for the MCS-150.

What mileage do I report?

The miles your whole fleet drove last year (all your trucks combined).
