Overweight permit (Over Axle / Over Gross)

What is it?

TxDMV's annual Over Axle / Over Gross Weight Tolerance permit lets you carry up to 10% over axle weight and 5% over gross weight, within legal size limits. It's valid on county and state roads in the counties you choose (not on Interstates). It's per truck, lasts one year, comes with a windshield sticker, and the permit must always be in the truck. TxDMV requires a $15,000 bond: we include it.

How we do it

Give us each truck's VIN and the counties where you work.
We file the $15,000 bond and get the permit in TxPROS.
We send you the permit to keep in the truck.
You receive the windshield sticker.
