Form a company
Texas LLC formation
We form your Texas LLC. Your LLC needs a registered agent with a physical Texas address: it can be you or another person or company you name.
LLC + EIN + first-year franchise tax
LLC, EIN and the first annual report with the Texas Comptroller. We check which report your LLC needs.
Complete LLC with Operating Agreement
LLC, EIN, first-year franchise tax and Operating Agreement.
DBA (assumed name) for your LLC
We register your LLC's or corporation's assumed name (DBA) with the Texas Secretary of State. No notary needed.
Annual Franchise Tax report
We file your LLC's annual report with the Texas Comptroller (usually due May 15). Which report you file and whether you owe tax depends on your revenue and the current rules; we review your case.
LLC changes (Amendment)
We change what your LLC's Certificate of Formation says: add or remove members or managers, change the name or the management structure.
Registered agent change
We change your LLC's registered agent or its address with the Secretary of State.
Operating Agreement update
We update your LLC members' agreement: a new member, a change of percentages or of who manages.
USDOT & MC (FMCSA)
New USDOT number
We apply for your USDOT number. The owner must verify their identity in FMCSA's system; we guide you step by step.
MC operating authority
We apply for your operating authority (MC). Includes your free authority letter once FMCSA activates it.
MC reinstatement
We reinstate your MC. We automatically check whether insurance, BOC-3 or MCS-150 are missing.
MCS-150 update
Required update every 2 years: address, contact, operation and fleet.
Motus access: claim your USDOT
Since May 2026, FMCSA filings are done in Motus. We guide you to create your Login.gov account, verify your identity and claim your USDOT number, so we can handle your filings.
Deactivate USDOT
We deactivate your USDOT if you stop operating. Your deadline reminders are turned off.
Close my trucking company
We close everything: revoke your MC, deactivate your USDOT, file up to 3 pending Texas Comptroller reports, cancel IFTA and IRP, terminate your LLC with the state and send the letter to the IRS to close your EIN. Each extra pending report: $35.
Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse registration
We register your company as an employer in FMCSA's Clearinghouse, connect your drug-testing consortium (required for owner-operators) and set up the annual query for your drivers.
UCR & BOC-3
UCR registration
Annual UCR filing. The official fee depends on your number of trucks.
UCR adjustment or correction
We correct your UCR filing (for example, a change in the number of trucks).
BOC-3 filing
We file your BOC-3 (process agents in every state). One-time payment, no annual fees.
Form 2290 (IRS)
Form 2290 (HVUT)
We calculate and file your heavy vehicle use tax and deliver your Schedule 1.
Additional truck on Form 2290
Each additional truck on the same return.
Texas: IFTA, IRP & TxDMV
New IRP account (apportioned plates)
We open your IRP account in TxFleet for your apportioned plates. Includes 1 truck; each extra truck adds $50.
TxDMV number
Texas motor carrier registration (1 or 2 years).
72/144-hour temporary permit
Temporary permit to operate in Texas. We instantly check whether your VIN can be processed online.
Texas IFTA registration
We get your IFTA license and decals.
IRP renewal (apportioned plates)
We renew your IRP account for the year so your apportioned plates don't expire.
Add a truck to IRP
We add a truck to your IRP account so it gets apportioned plates.
Remove a truck from IRP
We remove a truck you sold or no longer use from your IRP account.
Overweight permit (Over Axle / Over Gross)
Annual TxDMV permit to carry 10% over axle weight and 5% over gross weight in the counties you choose. The $15,000 bond is included.
Other states' permits
New Mexico permit (Weight Distance)
We register your New Mexico Weight Distance Tax account and permits, for trucks over 26,000 lbs.
New York permit (HUT)
We register your New York Highway Use Tax account and decals, for trucks over 18,000 lbs.
Connecticut permit (Highway Use Fee)
We register your Connecticut Highway Use Fee permit, for trucks of 26,000 lbs or more.
Oregon permit (Weight-Mile Tax)
We open your Oregon Weight-Mile Tax account and enroll your trucks (over 26,000 lbs). Oregon may require a bond.
3-state combo: New Mexico + Kentucky + New York
New Mexico, Kentucky and New York together. Which ones you need depends on your route, your truck's weight and your operation; we review it with you.
5-state combo: NM + KY + NY + Connecticut + Oregon
All the special permits to run the whole country.
Other-state mileage return
We file your mileage return for New Mexico, Kentucky, New York, Connecticut or Oregon. Each state has its own rules and dates (it can be quarterly, monthly or yearly); we review which ones apply to you.
Annual State Compliance Plan
We handle your other-state mileage filings during the year, with a deadline calendar and reminders. Extra state: +$100 a year. Extra truck: +$25 a year. Extra filing: $40. State taxes, interest, penalties and fees are separate.
Trip permit for another state
To pass through a state once without opening an account (New Mexico, Kentucky, New York or Oregon). We confirm the state's fee before you pay.
Inspections (DataQs)
Inspection review (DataQs)
We review your inspection report and tell you whether it's worth challenging the violation in DataQs and what proof you need. If we file it afterwards, you only pay the difference.
DataQs violation challenge
We prepare and file your DataQs request with your explanation and proof. There's no guarantee it will be removed: the state agency that did the inspection decides.
