What is it?

If your company no longer operates, you must notify FMCSA (MCS-150 "out of business"). That avoids penalties for missed updates, UCR bills, and audits for a company that's no longer working.

Who needs it?

  • Companies that closed or sold their trucks
  • Drivers who stopped operating under their own USDOT

How we do it

  1. We confirm the company details.
  2. We file the MCS-150 marked "out of business".
  3. We send you confirmation that your USDOT is inactive.

Do you already have a Motus (FMCSA) account?

To make this change FMCSA requires signing in to Motus with your USDOT already linked (claimed) to your account.

Inactivate the USDOT

It's done with the MCS-150 marked "Out of Business"; we take care of that. FMCSA takes about 8 business days.
